2009 International Canoe Federation (ICF) World Dragonboat Club Crew Championships
Dragonboat teams wishing to move beyond the local level of competition can now do this through the SaskPower Regina Dragonboat Festival. Our festival is now affiliated with CanoeKayak Canada as a qualifying event for teams wishing to attend the International Canoe Federation World Dragonboat Club Crew Championships in 2009. Funding will be available from CanoeKayak Canada for the team who will represent Canada.
We are once again offering a special early-bird registration pricing option this year. Early bird deadline is June 25, 2009.
- Any teams with outstanding balances from previous years will have to settle up from year previous in order to participate in this year's event. Examples of outstanding items would be NSF cheques, boat damage compensation, etc. Team's individual names will be added to a black list of participants unable to take part in the event.
- No cheques for registration fee payments will be accepted after August 1st; only money orders or cash.
- There will be a 200m sprint race on Friday night. The fee will be $100.00 extra due prior to the race - a separate entry form is available (see link on left).
- The registration process has changed for the 2009 Festival.
- There will NOT be an online registration system in place. All registrations and payment MUST be mailed to the Festival registrar.
- Please make cheques payable to 2009 Regina Dragonboat Festival.
- There will be one drop-off location for registrations;
- Festival Registrar, 2615 E Truesdale Drive, Regina, SK S4V0W5.
- Once the registration documents and payment is received, the Team List web site page will be updated to reflect this status and the team will be able to book training sessions.
- The cost for extra training sessions is $35.00/session. Cheques for these training sessions should be paid to the order of Regina Canoe Kayak Association. Please forward your payment for these extra sessions directly to the training co-ordinator.
- Do not include your payment for your extra training sessions with your team registration.
- To book training sessions you can call 757-BOAT (757-2628) OR go to the Contact Us tab and send an email to the Training Coordinator.
